Research Direction and Topics

focus on the creation of low-resistance, non-residual and low-cost antibiotics replacement for livestock and poultry and key technologies, to meet the national needs of green development.

Topic 1: Structure-activity relationships, molecular design and specific expression systems of active peptides.

To establish evaluation models in vivo/vitro and fast screening methods for antimicrobial peptides specifically kill G+ (Staphylococcus aureus, etc.) and G- (Escherichia coli, etc.); Antimicrobial peptides domains and the targeting molecular design techniques for main pathogenic bacteria of livestock and poultry; To study the action mechanism and engineering technology of the active peptides.

Topic 2: The theoretical basis and technical system of substitution of feeding antibiotics with active peptides.

To carry out research on the key technologies of genetic improvement, targeted delivery, controlled release and long-acting preparation of probiotics; The study of the key technologies of molecular modification and preparation of active peptides and oligosaccharides; To establish the effect evaluation, alternative antibiotics and comprehensive application technology based on the core products of active peptides, constantly increase the proportion and process of antibiotic substitution for livestock and poultry.
