Institute of Feed Research of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (IFR CAAS), with the great concerned of the deceased former national leader Mr. Deng Xiaoping, was founded in 1991 in Beijing with location at CAAS campus No 12 Zhongguancun south avenue, Weigongcun, Haidian District, Beijing China. IFR is a only national research institute focus on animal nutrition and feed sciences.

The missions of IFR are basic research and application on animal nutrition and feed sciences, feed resource development , new feed and feed additive development and application, feed processing technology and quality control, green animal products and production technology, feed product quality and safety testing technology, training and education for the industry. IFR plays an important role in livestock green and high production to ensure and guarantee the national food safety.
