Study/Work experience：

Prof. Tu successively obtained her BSc (Animal Nutrition and Feed Processing, 1991) in Beijing Agricultural University, and MS (Animal Nutrition, 1997) and PhD (Ruminant Animal Nutrition, 2011) in Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. She had worked in Institute of Feed Research of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences where she has remained successively as a Research Assistant (1998-2003), Associate Professor (2003-2009) and Professor (2009-).

Research fields：

Prof. Tu’s lab main research interests concern ruminant nutrition and feed technology, especially for calves from birth to weaning, nutrition requirement and oriented cultivation for replacement heifer, development and utilization of unconventional feed resources in feeding ruminant, and development and popularization strategy of integrated feeding technology with low GHG emissions.

She has attained outstanding achievements in the oriented cultivation for early weaning calves and replacement heifers, and was listed as an inventor on 8 Chinese patents for the new generation milk replacer in calves and lambs. She had a deep accumulation in the occurrence and development of rumen microflora and mammary glandular cell, and nutrition regulation of rumen microorganisms and mammary in dairy heifers. She also has done a lot of work in the straw utilization and forage silage fields.

She has published over 300 papers and developed 12 national or industry standards, and has received important academic awards and honors, including Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Progress Award, Agricultural, Animal Husbandry and Fishery Harvest Awards of Ministry of Agriculture, Chinese patent award of excellence, Great Tech Innovation Awards of CAAS.
