According to the general idea of "focusing on major needs, focusing on innovation frontier, breaking through core technologies, cultivating emerging industries, and leading future development", we closely center on the national great strategy demand of "reducing, replacing, and banning antibiotics" in animal production. Taking protecting the national food security, food safety, nutrition and health safety, and environmental safety as the goal, defending the life and health of Chinese people in Chinese way as the principal line, constructing the international advanced green animal production system as the guidance, using the Chinse herbal medicine, one of the two great creations of the Chinese nation, as the object, we put ‘inheriting the essence, basing on the tradition and making innovation’ into practice, and focus on tackling the critical issues in the whole industry chain of ‘replacing antibiotics’ with feed of Chinese herbal medicine, including theoretical innovation, method establishment, key technology breakthrough, product creation, industrial production and application promotion, and create a number of major feed of Chinese herbal medicine products, preparations and standards to assist in promote independent innovation ability, achievement transformation ability, sustainable development ability and international competitiveness of our feed of Chinese herbal medicine science and technology.
