Xiaofeng Dai, Professor, Doctoral Advisor, is currently the Director General of the Institute of Feed Research, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, the director of the key laboratory of feed biotechnology, ministry of agriculture and rural affairs, and post expert of national technology system of Chinese herbal medicine industry.

Prof. Xiaofeng Dai devoted in the research of medicinal and edible Chinese herbal medicine. He has been honored as the National Outstanding Agriculture Scientific Research Talent, China State Council Special Allowances Expert, Young and Middle-aged Outstanding Contribution Scientist in Ministry of Agriculture, Leading Talent of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and Chief Scientist of National Innovation Projects. He has undertaken more than 20 projects supported by Natural Science Foundation of China, and won 4 national science and technology awards, 6 provincial science and technology awards, Commendation Award for Major Achievements in Tackling Key Scientific and Technology Problems in National “8th Five-Year”, Commendation Award for “National Advanced Individual in Tackling Key Scientific and Technological Problems in National 8th Five-Year”, Contribution Award for “Strategic Research on Medium and Long-Term Program for National Science and Technology”, and so on. His team was selected as “Innovation Team of the Outstanding Agricultural Scientific Research Talents”. He has published more than 20 works, 200 papers, obtained over 80 national invention patents and has trained more than 50 graduate students.
