Yan Tu, Professor and Doctoral Supervisor, Director of the Ruminant Feed Innovation Team. She is mainly engaged in the research on theories and practical production technologies in the discipline of ruminant nutrition and feed, with a focus on nutritional regulation technologies for calves and replacement heifers, development of roughage for ruminants, and low-carbon emission reduction technologies. In the field of technology and product R&D, she is one of the inventors of China's first milk replacers for calves and lambs. The milk replacers she developed have laid a material foundation for the successful rearing of calves and lambs in China. She serves as a member of the Expert Steering Group for Comprehensive Utilization of Crop Straw under the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Standing Director of the Animal Nutrition Branch of the Chinese Association of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine, Deputy Director of the Ruminant Professional Committee, Director of the Beijing Key Laboratory of Dairy Cow Nutrition, Vice Chairman of the Feed Industry Technology Innovation Strategic Alliance, and Chinese Director of the Sino-US Research Center for Ruminant and Young Animal Nutritional Metabolism. Furthermore, she has published more than 100 SCI papers, holds 22 authorized national invention patents, including 3 China Patent Excellence Award, and has formulated and revised 14 national and industrial standards.
