Ruminant Feed Innovation Team


DIAO Qiyu

Emeritus Professor

Dr. Qiyu Diao, Professor, the special allowance expert of the State Council, specializes in Animal Nutrition and Feed Science. He is an expert in nutrition and physiology and breeding of young ruminants, and also the editor of national nutrient requirements of meat-type sheep and goats. He received PhD degree in Animal Physiology and Nutrition from University of Göttingen in Germany. He is a doctoral supervisor in Institute of Feed Research of CAAS and in Lanzhou University, an academic advisor of “Light of West China” visiting scholar, director of Functional Laboratory of Nutrition and Feed in National Meat-type Sheep and Goats Technology System, and Beijing Key Laboratory of Dairy Nutrition chairman of Scientific and Technology Innovation Alliance for Healthy Production of Herbivores, and Beijing Low Carbon Agriculture Association, and director of Ruminant Committee in Animal Nutrition Branch of Chinese Association of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine.

 

TU Yan

Chief Scientist

Yan Tu, Professor, doctoral supervisor.specializes in Animal Nutrition and Feed Science and is an academic advisor of “Light of West China” visiting scholar. She is an expert and director of Functional Laboratory of Feed and Nutrition in Beijing Innovation team of Dairy Industry Technology System, vice director of Beijing Key Laboratory of Dairy Nutrition, and chief secretary of Scientific and Technology Innovation Alliance for Healthy Production of Herbivores. Her research focuses on the theory and application of novel techniques in ruminant nutrition and feed science, nutritional regulation of replacement cattle, and utilization of roughage. She was awarded the first and second prizes of Ministerial and Provincial-Level Award twice, second and third prizes of China Agricultural Science and Technology Award, and three of China excellent Patent Awards. In addition, she won seven of appraisal and evaluation achievements and nineteen of patents for invention, and also prepared and revised twelve of national and industrial standards. She is an executive director in Animal Nutrition Branch of Chinese Association of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine, and also servs as adjunct professor in both Beijing University of Agriculture and Zhejiang A & F University.
