Chief Scientist

Dr. Xiubo Li is a full Professor and Doctoral supervisor at the Institute of Feed Research, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences (CAAS). She received her Ph.D. in veterinary pharmacology in 2008 from China Agricultural University. Dr. Li is the current director of the National Feed Drug Reference Laboratories, and has been serving as the Chief Scientist for the research team "Development and Evaluation of Novel Veterinary Drugs and Immunomodulatory Substance" at the CAAS. Dr. Li has been an expert receiving Special State-Council Allowance. She has been designated as a Young Scientist with Outstanding Contributions by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security. Dr. Li has also been serving as an expert in Beijing Dairy Industry Innovation Team working on cow disease prevention and medication safety. Moreover, Dr. Li is the Director of the Health Care Committee of the China Dairv Association, and has been committed to the development of new veterinary drugs in the past 25 vears. Dr. Li has received many research grants including more than 30 maior special projects in the "National 13th Five-Year Plan Project". During her professional career, she has won 1 National Science and Technology Progress Award as the first recipient, and 5 Provincial and Ministerial Awards. In addition, she has been granted 14 certificates for new veterinary drugs approved by Nationa Veterinary Drug Committee and among those, 8 are class-ll new veterinary drugs. She has also been granted 9 national patents, and was actively involved in formulating 12 national standards for veterinary drugs. Furthermore, she has published more than 50 peer-reviewed research articles on top scientific journals.
